Dean Adler
Senior Managing Principal and Co-Founder
Lubert-Adler Partners L.P.
As senior manager and co-founder of Lubert-Adler Real
Estate Funds (I-V), Adler is head of the Investment Committee
and responsible for leading the strategic direction of
the firm.
Adler has 22 years of experience in the real estate
investment sector. Prior to forming Lubert-Adler,
he was principal and co-head of Acquisitions for the
private equity group of CMS Companies. During his 12
years at CMS, Adler specialized in acquiring real estate
and operating businesses within the private equity markets. He
also was also previously associated with the accounting
firm of Ernst & Whinney and the law firm of Baker & Hostetler.
Adler graduated magna cum laude from The Wharton
School where he received a bachelor’s of science
degree and he holds a juris doctor degree with honors
from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. As
an instructor between 1981 and 1983 at the Wharton School
of the University of Pennsylvania between, he received
recognition for teaching excellence. He is an executive
committee member and research sponsor for the Zell/Lurie
Real Estate Center of The Wharton School, University
of Pennsylvania.
Adler currently serves on the board of directors of Bed
Bath & Beyond (NASDAQ: BBB) and Developers Diversified
Realty Corporation (NYSE: DDR) as well as numerous community
boards, philanthropic causes and is a member of Mayor
John Street's Planning Committee and most recently was
asked to participate in the city's Economic Development
Summit in June 2004.
