With more than 30 years of experience in the real estate
industry, Douglas Crocker II is currently president,
CEO, and Board of Trustees member of Equity Residential
Properties Trust, (EQR), the largest publicly traded
apartment company in America. Nationwide, the company
now owns or has an interest in 1,103 properties in 36
states consisting of 227,082 units. Equity Residential
was organized as a real estate investment trust to continue
the multifamily real estate business controlled by Mr.
Samuel Zell, which was originally founded in 1969. Equity
Residential was taken public in an initial offering completed
in August 1993 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
