Robert T. O’Brien

O’Brien was recently appointed to head the national
real estate industry practice at Deloitte. His background
includes 26 years with publicly held and privately held
clients in various industries, with a focus on the real
estate and hospitality industries. He was lead client
service partner on RREEF, a global real estate investment
advisor subsidiary of Deutsche Bank with $84 billion
in real estate assets under management. O’Brien
also served as lead client service partner and advisory
partner for Jones Lang LaSalle, Strategic Hotels and
Resorts, Inc., Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust,
and Vornado – Merchandise Properties. He has an
MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern
University, and a BS from John Carroll University. Mr.
O’Brien was recently featured in a full–length
interview by Globe Street discussing the “new deals” he
and Deloitte are working on to restructure and reposition
firms to survive, emerge and benefit from the recent
economic downturn.
